I have been so busy (business travel, moving, partying, etc.) that there's probably no more than 10-20 hours on these. AND they've been boxed up & stored since 12-00.

    Thnx Gang,

That occured on May 29, 2001. They had been boxed up for 5 to 6 months according to Marc's original post on this thread. It would seem something was already brewing and the "party" was possibly the final nail in the coffin.

Marc: are you going acoustic or taking a break from playing altogether?

I took a break from 1970 to 1990. (By the way, it was one of my bigger regrets in life.)
Kit Pic 1 Kit Pic 2 Kit Pic 3... And FOR SALE I have: 3 PD-9's, MDS-10 purple rack w/cables/pad and cym mounts. See classified posts for details or PM me.

I finally found someone who could answer my question from weeks ago ( http://www.vdrums.com/discussion/For...ML/001559.html ) ... and he's selling his set.

            Depressing.

            I'm sure he's going acoustic.
            Right?

Dude, I have admired this kit since the first pics emerged. I've commented on how simply insane it is! But, it's great! Can't believe you're selling it! I can't even imagine what you would be asking for such a monstrosity

                  Hi Marc.,

10-20 hours? Geez, it takes at least that long to read your 1000's of posts. Come to think of it, I've probably spent more time on Vdrums.com than behind V-Drum kit, too.

Best of luck selling the e-drums.
Hi Chris, it took me longer just to set up and program the buggers. Yeah, I did use to spend alot of time here.

No Boingo, I could never (and have never) take a sabbatical from drumming. I think I would probably end up killing something if I did.

Going ACOUSTIC?!!?! Come on peoples, do I have to say it? OK -

                  Use Most XLNT ...

(tsk, tsk, tsk, how soon they forget)

Bottomline? Hey! Everyone has their price, right? Just puttin' out some "feelers", that's all. Sorry to have rattled anyone's cage. And I have been extremely occupied. Sure hope things mellow out for me soon. I've missed my V-Family (and my V's).

                  Cheers,

Sell all the parts separate through eBay. If you'd put them on eBay all at once, you'll get a lower price for it.

If you'd start with putting all the parts for a complete basic v-drum kit on eBay, people interested in buying a whole kit would bid, but people who want to add stuff to their existing kit as well.

In the way I suggest it, it might take a few months before you get rid of everything, but you'll get the best price I think.

                      Hope this helps

Man, I really hate to see one's dreams come to an end. But, if you're serious, here is how it breaks down using Musician's Friend pricing....

                        Desc. Qty. Price Subtotal
                        PD-120 3 395.99 1187.97
                        PD-100 4 345.99 1383.96
                        PD-9 6 199.99 1199.94
                        PD-7 3 169.99 509.97
                        PD-80R 3 249.99 749.97
                        KD-120 2 429.99 859.98
                        KD-7 1 169.99 169.99
                        FD-7 1 169.99 169.99
                        FS5U 1 29.99 29.99
                        Iron Cobra 2 119.99 239.98
                        TD-10 Exp 2 1798.99 3597.98

                        Grand Total $10,099.72

Now, the grand total does not include a rack, any hardwre, cableing, snare stand, throne, or the XP-10.

All that aside, I really hope to see you keep this monsterous set.

I tried to get the columns to line up, oh-well you get the point...

OK - That's more like it. Parting it out makes great sense.

I guess it's just that they've been stored for so long and that I've been so busy. They were alot of fun. I just had a ball building that set up from scratch at 1st. It really pained me to break it down for the move and now with no time ... I just gotta settle down. (Maybe I'll just unpack and put together a few pieces. Yeah, that's an option.)

                              Thnx Peoples,
