Well, to clear this up, the Roland PDX-100 is working just fine as the Tom 4 pad in my Command module. Both zones are ok, and sounds from pad and rim are are consistent with Tom 3 etc.. Tone from Tom 1-4 are as expected. I also have run the PDX-100 through the external trigger port on my Alesis Sample Pad 4 and it works great there as well. Used it a a side snare. I send the Sample Pad and Command module outputs through my little mixer and everything blends just fine with no latency issues.

Well..It's not that simple. Different manufacturers might use different wiring so some compatibility issues might occur. I'm sure the wiring between Alesis and Roland is different but I'm not sure if pads are incompatible.

Roland PDX-100 on an Alesis Command Mesh Kit
I have a chance to pick up a Roland PDX-100 which I would like to add to my Alesis Command Mesh Kit, as Tom4. Will it be compatible with the Command module? Anything else I should know? Thanks.Tags: None
