  • First Time Out..

There must be about a million posts from people who are playing out for the first time with their v's, and so I figured I'd add to the list I'm not really asking for any advice, although anything which hasn't been mentioned in previous posts would be appreciated.. Instead, I'm just sort of announcing myself as an actual player I'm playing two back to back gigs.. first one is a sort of.. um.. weird band.. improv industrial electronica is the only thing I can think of.. kind of like the Phish of the dark electronic underground? we're using my unexpanded v pro's, a guitar, and Steinberg Reason on a g4 powerbook (one of the badass titanium ones).. then I'm in an upbeat guitar pop band with a tambourine player. I've always wanted to be in a band with a tambourine player.. wish me luck

great question.. i'm not sure.. maybe I'll just bring a really long 1/4" cord and play the drums out in the audience.. I think that'd be cool.. another cool idea would be to set them in the back of a pickup trick with a power inverter from the DC cig. lighter to an AC plug, and then run a wireless transmitter from the line out on the td-10, and just sort of drive around the parking lot and jam..

          Adam,
You've beem thinking about this alot havn't you! I think that's the weirdest answer to a question about monitoring I've EVER seen here. I like the way you think. I would have expected something like that from you Arriguy.

, plenty of , and , , triggered acoustics, , and a plethora of PA blah blah freakin blah...I mean does anyone care about the specifics of pedals, speakers, processors, hardware or anything that I'm using?? Hmmm, maybe this is an appropriate place to mention that I tried out a new cymbal stand the other day...
