New Roland flagship model?!

The roadmap shows that Roland will refresh it's flagship module in 2016.

Unknown if it will be the TD-30X or TD40. There is no evidence that the TD30 is being discontinued yet.

We might not see anything at NAMM 2016 either, it could happen in April.

If anything new happens with Roland though, it typically happens very quickly. They are exceptional at not leaking a thing until it's upon us.

For the first time this year 2015 black friday and cyber monday sales were launched in Europe, this explains why some stores showed low prices a few days ago.

I can answer this for you:

It was Black Friday the 27th, and apparently Roland gave dealers permission to sell with a discount. I know this for sure, because I was eyeballing a TD-30K kit for about a week and was waiting just to see what would happen on Black Friday. And low and behold, several shops sold it for 2999 euro (from 3999 euro) for the entire weekend.

So yes, now there is a TD-30K kit in my livingroom. And no, I don't think a new flagship will come

No I don't. If a new module comes I recon I can trade up for about 1000 euro give or take. It is of little consequence to me

I can confirm the Black Friday deal !! I have also seen the TD-30K for about 3000 EUR in online shops here in Romania for the entire Black Friday weekend. However, I do not have space for a TD-30, so I bought last week a TD-25KV with a really good discount. This TD-25KV was unpacked and on display in the shop from where I bought it, so I paid for it about 2300 EUR instead of 2800 EUR the original price. So now I have a new TD-25KV behind my office desk as well
