Yes it is, I Had this setup for along time before going to the VH-11 and it worked great. Honestly there isnt a big enough difference in playability to justify the dollar amount going with VH-11.
Just make sure you select the proper trigger in the trigger bank so it functions properly.Yamaha M-12
