    There's a review in DigitalDrummer.

I plugged my iPad to my module's USB, and tried DMTouch.

It's interesting. Not up to VST standards, of course, but it could have potential. Unfortunately, it was made by Alesis, and they have a history of coming up with some ideas, then dropping the ball.

I hear ya perceval. Alesis headquarters is here in RI. My buddy own a drumshop and is going to carry there sample pad. I'm going to ask him to see if we can get a demo of dmdock. I'll take my ipad and DIY pad and see if it works for kix.....

Interesting a youtube used a Roland kit. worked pretty flawless and sonds were not that bad. I guess for $200 if you already have an iPad, not a bad deal to get going with an A2E kit. Well I say A2E kit. but who knows....

If you have an Ipad you can download the app and try the sounds. I did. I didn't find it particularly impressive or engaging. And I won't buy anything anymore that requires an interface with an Apple product. We have 3 docks, 2 alarm clocks, a video game cabinet, an expensive receiver, a mixing board, and a guitar rig sitting in a corner gathering dust that can attest to that.

It does look nifty. But as soon as the guy said it, I saw the comment. "..and no doubt more sounds to come." When are they gonna stop trying to con their customers?. Fool me twice you know. And at any time for no reason Apple can change the pin-outs and encryption on all IOS docks. ( they have done this twice before) turning this thing into a 200 dollar paperweight.

I'm the bloke who said it. I have no doubt they will have more samples because they'll want an ongoing revenue stream.
On the pin issue, there's an interchangeable cable, so you should be able to use huge dock with anything Apple throws at you.

Yes, there are, especially now the iPad's improved interapp audio sharing. I have used several other drum apps with the DMDock.
