It seems like compression is crushing my bass drum when I have a built in song (or off USB) playing. Is this a known inherent issue? I don't want to reduce compression on these kits because it would likely alter the sound (VEX Essentials Rock).

When playing with some songs, you can run into mix issues due to obvious reasons. You might try tweaking EQ just a hair. Don't be afraid to copy the kit to another bank and experiment with compression and EQ.Alan
