  • TD-11: Split Song Audio to Headphones Only

    All:

Relative to most on here, I am a newbie. I have a ProTools (LE8) setup with a Digi002 and TD-11. I have the TD-11 working fine recording MIDI and audio (separate tracks). My problem is that I use the SONG mode of the TD-11 to listen to tracks as I play, but don't want the audio of the song to get recorded on my PT track. Is there a way to split the audio out of the TD-11 SONG stream to only the headphones and not the line out? Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks...

The TD30 has settings for that but the TD11? Check your manual. I kind of doubt it.

I don't know much about TD 11's but is the SONG some kinda track recorded into the module or are these SONGS being played off a USB stick? If it's the latter you can maybe use your computer to play the music or a different external player and not the TD 11...problem solved!

Thanks Intruder and Kenster...I did check the manual before the post. No mention of it, I just thought there might be some obscure trick the pro's had. I guess the pros use TD-30's, right?? :-) I can playback on an alternate device as it is a simple MP3 off of a memory stick, I just had the volume of the kit and the song set perfectly and it would have been easier to just turn off the song on the line out. Oh well, guess I have to use the ear buds for it this time...thanks anyway!
