  • TD30 Master Volume not working?

My TD30 only plays one volume unless I change it via "Kit Volume".

The Master Volume control is not working. My output on the back of the TD30 is digital going to a Teac DAC.

There is no way to silence the drums unless I put the Kit Volume to 0.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks!

Digital (S/PDIF) and Indy outs are line level output only. (-6db) You cannot change them. If you need more volume, use the master outs; or, as you've found, increase the internal sound before it is output. (via gain options)

Thanks for the quick answer! That's appreciated.

Is there a way to use the master outs into the coaxial input on the Teac DAC?

      Thanks again.

You know what I followed your advice and hooked up the original 1/4" jacks from the TD30 and ran them straight to the speakers.

        Works great!

        Thanks Alan.

The only way to use the digi out would be with an external amplified source with digital input or converter. Basically, you're getting the same output from the masters, as long as you don't overload it and induce distortion.
