  • TD-8 Module, compatible with PD-8 Pads?

I can get my hands on a very nice TD-8 module.
I own the TD-6, but I like to have a go on the TD-8.becaus of his stand alone faders.
I use PD 8 pads on the TD6, are these backwards compatible and dual triggerd?
I know the snare is dual. The specs tell me that all 10 inputs are dual( as on rolands webpage displayed)
Does any one uot ther has some experiance with this setup, or maybey can tell me moer about this?

    Regards,
    Boyd

If you get the "Empty Response" error, do not try to post again... It probably went through the first time. That will help cut down on double postings.

Here's a compatibility chart, (found with Google, of all the places):

DTX700, eDRUMin 4+10, A2E Dixon kit, Yamaha cymbals, FSR HH

I had a TD8. Never used the PD8 pads. I used pd7 pd9 pd120 pd100 all of those triggered well. I dont see why the PD8's wouldnt work. Stick with roland though. I tried pintech concert cast pad -sucked- Yamaha 15" ride cymbal, worked ok. Inputs 1 and 11 can split to 2 mono pads. 2-10 are all dual triggered. Great module. Sounds are dated though. make sure to get the version 2 if you can.

I bought the TD-8 set as my first Roland venture,it came with pd-80 mesh for the main drums,pd-80R for snare(dual),kd-80 kick, and the pd-8 for the hi-hat which I used for a ride,it worked perfectly as a dual pad for bell and edge sounds-it's a great pad and can be used in all td-8 jacks, these have a polarity switch also

A PD-8 does not have a polarity switch. (Only a PD-7/9 or KD-7 have those.)

          But I agree a PD-8 is a great pad for a TD-8.

          Kick and Aux are dual-mono.

          No edge on those.
