I used a standard Humes and Burg Trap case with wheels, lined with foam from a fabric store. My whole kit (V-Custom excluding rack of course) plus extras fit in, plus a pocket for real cymbals. $200 total. Throw my G2 on top and roll it in. The drawback is of course stairs, where separate small cases might work better.
Not quite as nice as the Roland case, but more professional than the Tupperware route.

My only problem is I don't know which one to order, i.e. my 10" pintech is really 12" from lug to lug, but when the case says 10x10, does it mean it is 10" inside diameter or it accepts a 10" drum?
I wanted to comment on this when I read it last night but I was too stinkin tired... Anyway... it's a really good idea, and one I had a month ago as well... Just a couple of normal drum cases or bags would hold the whole set...
like minds think greatly... err... wait.

A 10 inch case will accept a 10 inch tom tom even with lugs. Otherwise many acoustic drummers should have problems removing the hardware from their drum shells every time they play
However it's never wrong to take some extra room for the foam or if you (like me) have RIMS around the drumpads.
