    I know J man can answer this.Wasn't Simmons a big name and originator of e drums back in the 80's along with possibly alesis? Why didn't simmons survive as a major contender in the e drum world?

      Allan did a good article interviewing Dave Simmons with a lot of the history/info in the May 2011 issue of DigitalDrummer.
