  • How Do I Adjust VH13 Hi Hat Closed Pressure?

    Hello All,

I'm pleased to report that I picked up a used but like new TD30-KV and have had a ball getting used to it. However there is one nagging issue I have not figured out. That is how to adjust the pressure needed to make the hi hats sound totally closed. As is, I have to put a LOT of pressure on the hats to make them sound closed. To the point where I am pushing myself off my throne. I have a new Pearl Eliminator stand that is not the problem. It is the pressure needed on the actual hats. Even with good pressure on them, they always sound slightly open unless I really squeeze down on them.

I did the hi hat set-up instructions in the manual where you drop the top hat onto the bottom and let the module run some kind of configuration. This didn't solve the problem.

Can anybody steer me in the right direction?

    Thanks!

Make sure you have the VH13 selected as the hi hat instrument in the TD30 module, then try the calibration again.

Oh, I forgot to ask to see some pictures of your kit. Nice score getting a used one. I really enjoy mine.
