I'm not a drummer, but a pro musician with a home studio. Triggered drums use to be the enemy. But it's my understanding that they've come a long way. I'll be moving into a new place. And instead of building another sound proofed room, I'm thinking I'm going to go to v drums. Money is a factor. I'll have about $1500 max (would of course like to come under). I am looking at a used TD 11 KV. I understand there are better sounding modules. But the sounds will mainly be to get me by at practices and monitors during recording. Maybe a gig, in extreme emergencies. But I'll be recording via midi. So I'm not too, too worried about the sounds coming out of the module.
However, how is the triggering on this thing? I do play fast music from time to time. I remember these things use to misfire if the snare got too fast or something. Does that still happen?
