People ask why we delete posts instead of moving them. The simple answer is, members do not learn if we just move them.

Why do we want them in specific locations? It makes it easier to search in a limited number of topics for your answers faster.

Additionally, we ask in welcome emails, rules, banners, and announcements that members READ forum descriptions before posting. Everyone is warned that improperly posted topics will be deleted.

Here are three cases (top three) just within four hours from this morning.

If you want don't want your post deleted, PLEASE READ FORUM DESCRIPTIONS AND POSTING ANNOUNCEMENT GUIDELINES AT THE TOP OF MOST FORUMS.

If your post doesn't match the forum topic guideline, it gets deleted.

The example above is just a snippet of this normal daily occurrence.

Itís been two months since this post was created, and people still ask why posts are deleted. While itís all explained above, here is an example why we do not move posts for lazy members. This is the first page of the Foyer and Lounge. Everything in red is erroneously posted.
