I'm pulling my hair out trying to fix this probably tiny problem.
I used to use 2 Alesis Trigger I/O's (big kit
) to feed the MIDI trigger inputs into two instances of ezDrummer running in the excellent little VSTHost program. The laptop that I used to do this on (running XP) has recently broke, so i've had to get a new one running Vista. And no matter what I do, I just can't get VSTHost to work with both Alesis I/Os. In MIDI-OX, both Alesis I/Os show input data when I whack a cymbal or something, and VSTHost identifies both Trigger I/Os, but for each seperate instance of ezDrummer, I go to set which MIDI input I want to use, and there's only one 'Trigger I/O' in the list!
I've tried lots of things, including setting each Trigger I/O to a different MIDI channel and filtering out all channels except the correct one for each instance of ezDrummer, but it just ignores one of the modules. If anyone has any ideas, or alternative programs that they know work with a multiple Trigger I/Os, i'd love to know. Thanks.
