I finally got my copy of S2 today and after spending a couple of hours installing it I now have the expected teething problems! I'm using it with my standard TD9 kit and I'm using a Novation X-Station as my midi I/O and soundcard.
Firstly, the hi hat is not exactly smooth and I seem to get a lot of double hit's.
Secondly, there seems to be quite a bit of latency from the kit. Played from the keyboard on the x-station it seems to be pretty much zero but it's noticable from the kit. I've set the latency on the soundcard to 1ms and the buffer to 64 on S2 - is this the best I'm going to get?
Lastly, how do I go about getting the rimshots on the toms etc? at the moment I've got the normal tom sound coming off 2 of them and a crash off the other!?
Sorry for all the questions but I'm very much new to vdrums and software.
Cheers!
