  • How to change TD12 K sounds ?

Hy We are a band from Portugal,

I apologize if this question has been asked before, but I was not able to locate anything.

We have a Roland TD12K and we d'ont like the original electronic Kit. We surh at the V Expression Home but we d'ont like the groove about them electronique librarie.

We need to find sounds more powerful .We need stuff like we use to find in Stylus or adictive drums. Something between house music and triphop...

Is it possible to put some sample into the TD12 module and How ? Is it possible to change a Wav file to .Sys or Td0 for Roland ?

    Please help us.

No, you can not send samples to the TD-12. You can only adjust the sounds that are there.

maybe you should try doing a mix and match with VEx kits

VExpression expansions are just programs using the existing sounds. You could create the same sounds by adjusting the settings. VEx is just so good at it that we are willing to pay for them.

Michael is totally correct. The VEX expansions install settings that modify existing sounds. There is no way to import sample content into your TD-12. You can however, use your module to trigger sounds stored in your computer, like Stylus RMX or Addictive Drums.

No one here would mislead you.

            Good luck.

No more V-drums; all acoustics now.

This means you download the vex packs from their site onto your computer...then you need to transfer the packs into your td12...through its midi inputs, using your computer's midi, or usb, or firewire outputs....the best way to do this is to use the library programme vdrumslibrary, from www,vdrumslib.com

that site also has instructions on how to do it, but please ask if you have further questions
