  • Laptop PC to a PA system?

If this has been discussed already I apologize. I was just curious to know how I can run my laptop to a PA system. I'm using a TD-9kx to trigger Addictive Drums on my PC. I've been told that I can use the headphone out, but I feel that might compromise sound quality. Is there a better way? And does anybody use this type of setup in live situations? If so...how does it sound?
    Where am I?

The soundcards that come with laptops are notorioulsy noisy and of low quality. You need a decent, low latency audio interface. USB or Firewire.

Do a search to see what audio interfaces people are using to get an idea of what is available.
