  • Class Compliant USB Hub for iPod

I'm looking for an inexpensive Class Compliant USB 4 port Hub, to add midi peripherals to an iPod. I read that some peripherals require a powered usb port. The hub will be connected to the USB camera connection kit. Would appreciate any suggestions.

Also, can a powered hub be used with the power turned off, so it becomes a non-powered hub?

    Will this work?

Just an idea...with the a bit more advanced lightning to USB 3 adapter, it has have a power insert also...
https://www.apple.com/shop/product/M...camera-adapter and this works with most usb stuff on my iPad/iPhones...but I have no idea if this works for an iPod. :-)

I am also very satisfied with a small audio/midi device from Zoom...the U-24 https://zoomcorp.com/en/ca/audio-int...terfaces/u-24/ - class audio and midi with battery power. Works on everything...PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone, android, Raspberry etc...

    Best regards

      Thanks Anders.
I already have this USB3 to lightning camera kit adapter (generic version, and I tested it, and it does work with iPod). Since it only has 1 USB jack, I need a hub to connect several other midi devices to my iPod. So I don't know if the power (via lightning to AC adapter) of this USB3 camera kit has enough power for peripherals, if using a non-powered USB hub.

Hi! Never tried the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2....but I own the bigger brother Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 3rd Gen...which is not bad at all. 192Khz, 24bits and great drivers in W10 etc. A comparison with Zoom U24 is hard to make...but I like the battery power features found in U24...but it is only 2 channels with 24bits and 96KHz.

          Best regards
