  • Free or inexpensive Drum Software for Piano Roll or Vdrum triggering.

I already own EZDrummer 2, Superior 3, and whatever comes with Native Instruments Komplete. I want to help out some friends get into triggering software with their vDrums. And personally I am interested in what's out there in general. I'm big into programming midi in my Piano Roll. If you know of have a specific recommendation, I'm very interested. I did attempt a search here before posting, my key words are simply too generic using "free, VST" and so on. Not looking for free trials, looking for completely free or very inexpensive. Thanks for reading!

Get hold of SSD5.5 free. That is steven slate drums 5.5. With the free version you get one kit which is quite good. I wouldn’t say in the league of SD3 but I use it while collaborating with people. I always get them to get SSD55.5 so I can just send midi. Everyone I have done this with has been impressed.
Roland TD30 module on TD20 kit SD3 with various kits. Pearl Masters Kit, Yamaha 9000RC original natural wood finish. Cymbals from Zildgian Pasite and Sabian. Loads of percussion bits. Cubase and Wavelab always current versions.
