  • Desperately seeking samples.....

    Hi,

So, I unwrapped my TD17KVX yesterday and started playing with the pre-installed 50 kits. Some I love, some less so. I was wondering if there is a download available of additional kits or samples that I can load onto an SD card?

I'm guessing there are commercially available products too but again I don't have a clue where to find these. I've seen samples available for the TD50 and 30 but I'm guessing these won't work on the TD17?

I'd be grateful for any advice you can give.

    Thanks

    Scott

Lustark's SDSE is a great tool for building the 1 shot WAVs from any VST software. Additionally there are numerous free VST kits, sounds, 2Box sounds, freely downloadable on the web ...etc. that can be built with SDSE https://www.lustark.com/sdse
I could tell you where to stick that piezo! ;)

Hi, I've taken a look at this software on their website. I'm not an expert at VST's etc but wondered if this could be used to extract the drum sounds contained in other applications like EZ drummer etc so they can be put directly into the Roland 17 Drum Module?

          Thanks

There are lists of VSTs covered on the site. EZDrummer is covered. Contact Lustar if you have questions.

SDSE does exactly that. If you own/purchase any VST on their list, SDSE can export the sample library and massage it into a format ready for import into your module. Itís relatively straight forward to use and comes with presets to help with whatever module youíre working with. Thereís a fair amount of info and several walkthroughs on YouTube that should help.
