  • using a TD9 on Garageband IOS (Ipad) - I can't seem to get the hi-hat to work

    hi all
I am having fun laying down some grooves using my e-kit connected to the ipad. now Garageband has a standard midi config and you cannot change it.
it all seems to kind of work (toms, kick, snare, cymbals)
on the hi-hat side it's quite basic, as it has only 3 sounds: open, close, and foot. the thing is, not matter what I do I cannot get my kit to sent these 3 sounds correctly. the only note Garageband gets, it translates to "open". can anyone tell me if they had the same issue and how to solve it? I can obviously get way more complicated configs to work on, say, Addictive Drums 2, but on the Ipad I am stuck...
is there a setting on the TD9 to ask the unit to only send open/close messages, as opposed to look at the position of the pedal?
    thanks!
