    Hello,

When assigning cymbals in SD2, why is it that you can only assign certain cymbals to certain positions? This means that if a cymbal I like is not allowed in that position, I would have remap at least 2 cymbals every time I want to change a cymbal. What can I do to get around this?

You could save a custom midi map
DTX700, eDRUMin 4+10, A2E Dixon kit, Yamaha cymbals, FSR HH
    Kit Pix http://vdrums.com/forum/album.php?albumid=613

      Thank you for the reply.

However, why does Toontrack do this? And if I were to use your suggestion, I would have countless midi presets just so I could get the cymbals I want. Why can't we just assign any cymbal to any position?

You can also use the X-Drum to add any instrument from any library.
Not limited from assigned positions in SD2

They do it because of the way they record. It's a bit of a purist view in if a cymbal was in a certain position it needs to stay there for the overheads. Adding X-Drums is easy although I know what you mean as it can be anoying
Roland TD50x with part td20 rack and pads. SD3 with various kits. Pearl Masters Kit, Yamaha 9000RC original natural wood finish. Cymbals from Zildgian Pasite and Sabian. Loads of percussion bits. Cubase and Wavelab always current versions. RME Babyface pro fs audio interface
