    If I remember correctly, those were not Roto-toms. I suggest finding a nice, woody tom (smallest size) and shifting the tuning up. Adjusting shell depth and head type, of course (try a deeper shell with a coated head and work from there). The really noticeable effect is the huge wash of reverb placed on them.

      They are roto toms and to be honest there isn't much to the sound, as Jim sais its all about the reverb.
