  • Can someone please help a luddite?

Hi all, First post! (doubt it will be the last)

I own a TD 30 Kit and after hearing the V Expression kits I am desperate to make a purchase, trouble Is, even after reading the pdf's on installing the new kits I am still baffled!
I have a USB stick, Can someone please just set out in plain easy steps how I, after purchasing the sets I want, put them on the USB and then load them into my TD30 Brain?

As you can see In the title of this message, I really need to read It In basic terms.

    Thanks for any help!

Welcome to the Forums!!! How about a few pics in the Foyer or Show Your Kit thread? And I'm with Jim on the whole verbiage thing, but don't quote me lol. I'll accept:
          Neophyte
Novice, or as a stretch, novitiate
          Abecedarian
          Tenderfoot
          N00b as a last resort...

Although, I guess luddite is accepted as the same meaning as above in growing instances, as mentioned here

Anyways....welcome and you're getting help from the makers of VEX so you should be good to go very soon!

Hey all thanks for the answers!

I really am rubbish with technology, So I format my USB stick, create a folder on It called TD30_Backup001.TD0 Then buy the kits I want and download them to my PC?
Then save them to my USB stick and import them to my TD 30 module?

Don't create the folder yourself. Just format the stick at the module and it will create the PROPER folder structure.

Then, it's simply a matter of following the directions I mentioned.

OK So I managed to do the back up of my TD30 to my USB stick, Do I have to delete all my user kits and replace them with the new ones from your site?

No. You don't "have to delete them". You can load individual kits, or even play them from the USB. Our TD-30 QuickStart Guide and your Roland manual provide those instructions.
