  • Td30k new kit sounds if possible

Dear members I have just bought the td30k and would like to know if you can import other drum kits into the td30k from some website? If so can you please explain how it works and if it's easy to do. For example like a good rock kit Regards Damien

    Welcome to the forum, damo666!

You cannot import samples into the TD-30 module (that's a privilege to the Yamaha and 2box modules), but you can load 'VEX-packs', which are basically collections of 'parameter tweaks' for Roland-modules!

    Happy Drumming!

That's correct, sorry 'bout the careless mistake, I was quite in a hurry...

Thank you, just wondering if I can use any old USB stick to download new kits onto before putting them back into the td30

Pretty much. I haven't had too many people email with any problem in that area. I do believe Roland has a compatibility list on the US site somewhere; but generally speaking, I doubt you'll run into an issue.

I didn't find an USB-stick compatibility list especially for the TD-30, unfortunately - but there is one for the TD-9 module, maybe they are pretty interchangeable...
