  • VKitTrans EAccessViolation

I'm trying to run VKitTrans and I get the following error:

Exception EAccessViolation in module VKITTRNS.EXE at 00022A33
Access violation at address 00422A33 in module VKITTRANS.EXE. Read of Address FFFFFFF.

Does anyone know what causes this error, and even better, how it might be fixed?

    Thanks!
    Graham

When do you get the violation code? Is it when you start up the software, or when you perform a function?

        Hi,
I get the error when I try to start the program. The error is all I see, I never get the program to run.

        I'm running Windows 98.

Thanks for any help you can give me - i'm really looking forward to getting this to work, it looks very cool!! :-)

Which TD to you own? Original TD-10 or have you installed the expansion card?

Which version of VkitTrans are you running? The one posted on this site or one someone mailed you which is the 2nd version made for TDW-1?

You also have to configure your card somewhere in the control panel settings. I think it's something to do with midi out vs synth out. Weird thing is I have a Pentium 300 with SB PCI128 card and can't get it to work yet my old 486 runs it ok. I get a message that says it isn't communicating.

I also recall getting this message when initiating the software and then changing kit settings. It generally doesn't like that.
