  • TD-10Exp and Cubase VST Remote

    Hi guys,

I have a question about using my TD-10 with Cubases' Generic VST Remote.

Here's what I'd like to do... I want to be able to start and stop recording in Cubase by tapping an extra PD-9 that I have.

By using the Generic VST Remote in Cubase I was able to start and stop recording via my PD-9, but midi-in ceased to function. (Midi out continued to work.) I then did a search on the cubase.net forums and saw that other people have the same problem when using VST Remote, but no one seems to have a solution.

Have any of you been able to use your V-drums to control Cubase?

    BTW, here's my setup:
    Pent 3 733mhz @ 855 (150fsb)
    256mg sd-ram
    IBM Deskstar 7200rpm drive
    Delta Audiohpile 2496
    Sound Blaster Live
Midiman 2X2 USB to Midi Port
    Windows XP
    Cubase VST 32 51R1 (Updated)
    ...and of course...
    Roland V-Concert with TDW-1

Aside from my VST remote question, I'm also unsure of the best way to sync Cubase with the TD-10. Which is the better master? Cubase or the TD-10? Is there a way to have Cubases' metronome trigger the voice click-track? Etc, etc.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated! Thank you much!

Thank you very much C.Jude! I like you idea of having a home-made box controlling Cubase, very cool.

Thanx for the tips on syncronization. I'll see what I can do!
