So I'm a little confused to what this does. I got one from Kraft. It seems to have two modes.
I can connect my iPhone to my TD-11 when it's inserted. It also lets me go into "wireless"
    mode.

Anyone know what the latter is?

When I looked into it I just found info about connecting to Iphone / ipad apps - nothing else.

Though it would be much cooler if it could - I dunno - update its own firmware or connect to some of the tweaking and management apps that are out there for PC (or even friendjam? - i guess the latency would be crapola)

Yea. Exactly. I linked it to my iPhone and did some wireless recording.

Then there's this "wireless" feature. When I go into the menu, my TD-11
module connects to my local wi-fi. I wonder what that is for? Why would the
      TD-11 module need internet access?
