  • TD-30, 15 and 11 USB Recommendations

I often get asked if any USB stick will work with Roland modules. I don't really remember all the rules for each module (I really wish Roland would get more consistent across their line), but I figured I'd start a sticky for people to post what works for them.

PLEASE KEEP RESPONSES SHORT AND TO THE POINT, SUCH AS THE FOLLOWING:

    TD-30 Confirmed: http://www.verbatim.com/prod/usb-dri...lic-sku-96733/ (4gb version)

I've used two generic flash drives on my TD-15. Maybe mine were unique but they worked. Just remember, you have to format it on the module, not the computer.

TD9 and TD30 confirmed SanDisk 4 and 8 MB size.
Not much need for larger sizes. Sticks are cheap and 2 small are better (faster) then 1 large.

SanDisk Cruzer Blade 8 GB worked for more than a year now.

I always considered the remark in the manual to be more of a legal rather than a technical issues: "See, we told you, we are not liable."

                              TD-15 Warning: Sandisk cruzer 8gb and old PQI 1GB - doesn't work.

On the contrary 8Gb and 2GB Noname sticks worked for some time... which is strange.
