  • Newbie Question about td-8

How do I know if my TD-8 has the v1.10 update or if I am using an older one....
Just bought it 6 weeks ago?

I pulled this from another post on this site using the search function. It worked for me...

"The latest version 1.10 adds the ability to use the Roland V-Cymbals as
well as a number of bug fixes. To see what version your TD-8 is do the
    following:

    1) Hold down [F1],[F2],[F3] and turn on the power. Keep these button
pressed until the panel LED lights briefly.
    2) Press [CLICK] then [RIM]
    3) Press [F1] for the Flash memory version and [F2] for the CPU version.
    4) Turn the power off when you are done."

or, you can just set the click to a different time and then restart the machine and if it goes back to the original then you have the older version.
'course, I have been wrong before...

Doesn't the Pattern or Song stay on if it has been updated?

Jdsail, you should know that here you don't have to quote where you are getting your source material from. Take a leaf from Szvook's book and claim everything as your own - that way everyone will think that you are a god and respect you more.

, plenty of , and , , triggered acoustics, , and a plethora of PA blah blah freakin blah...I mean does anyone care about the specifics of pedals, speakers, processors, hardware or anything that I'm using?? Hmmm, maybe this is an appropriate place to mention that I tried out a new cymbal stand the other day...

Yes. The song button is lit after the upgrade.
Just curious but has anyone recently bought a TD-8 with the new version?

I purchased my td8 less than a month ago and it was not updated. Now if only my Hart Triggers would get here...
