  • drums detuning out of nowhere

alright check this out. On a kit I just put together on the TD-10 after hitting the closed HH the third tom tunes way up by itself. After hitting the open HH the third tom then tuns back to normal. Not only does this happen with the third tom but also with the ride cymbal. Anybody have any ideas? This is really frusterating.

Do you have these toms set to pitch bend perhaps?

... you mean, the ride cymabal is tuning all by itself too?

Are you hitting these instruments right after you hit the HI-HAT??? or are they doing this all alone-WHILE you hit the hi-hat??
let me know-I might have some ideas for you!!

Hey guys sorry I figured out it was set to pedal pitch control. I had no idea that function even existed. Really weird, any ways, obviously user error. Sorry about that everybody. Thanks for the help though. I thought I already investigated everything in this machine, apparently not though. heh, again sorry for the post. Talk to you all later.

As the great Dr Kildrum would say: Where's your manual?
