  • TD-5/Crosstalk Question

Hey, Im wondering what kind of adjustments can I make with a TD-5 Mod to lower Crosstalk? Im gonna bring my pad to school tommorrow and test it out on their TD-5 (I just recently made a pad from a practice pad) but Im pretty sure It will trigger the other triggers, so Id like to know what I could do to stop that from happening if possible. Could you also include somewhat of a description of the proccess as well? thanks!

There certainly is a button treshold or so. Try to raise the values there and beware not to overdo 'cause high treshold levels decrease sensitivity and dynamics.

I'm not sitting at my drums now, so can you tell me how to get to the screen where I can decrease the threshold?

I don't have a TD-5 (only played number 7 once) but I guess there will be a system knob with trigger settings or so.
I remember the TD-5 as being a module with only two red leds so perhaps the screen will show TR

You have to hold down the EDIT button until the LED begins to flsh rapidly.

Then you hit the pad you want to edit.

Then you can press PITCH < to select trigger type (with PATCH < > buttons yo select the trigger type: PD5-PD7-PD9-KD7-Triggers...)

To adjust sensitivity you press the PITCH > button and again use PATCH < > to change the setting.

If you press the DECAY < button, you can adjust the Threshold. (PATCH < >)

And with the DECAY > button you can select the Trigger Curve.

The you press EDIT again to return to the Play mode.

Try that, if thatīs not enough tell me and Iīll explain you how to set crosstalk, Mask time, Scan time, and other parameters.

          Good luck!
