  • Anyone know an easy way to Record My Vs onto my PC?

My bassist bro. mentioned how I could easily record myself jamming onto my PC, using my SB Live card's Line In & the Midi Out on my TD8. He went home so I thought I'd ask you gurus.

Is this easy to do? I'd like to hear how I sound as a whole.
I have Cakewalk Home Studio installed but have never used it, btw.

It's not that difficult, but you will need to run the Cakewalk software and mess around with it a bit. You cannot run the MIDI Out from you drum module to the Line In on your sound card. You can run the MIDI out to a MIDI IN on the sound card or from one of the Main or Direct Outs on your Drum module to the line in on the soundcard. Go to Radio Shack and get some cables and start hooking them up. Run the software and work with it a while. Maybe you should hook a mic or guitar up to the sound card and experiment with that first, before you try with the drum module. That's what I did. If you're smart enough to play drums, you can figure it out.
