  • Is angle of beater important on KD7?

I'm a VDrums newbie and am setting up my KD7 with a DW 5000 pedal. I've got the beater centered on the trigger pad, but it's not hitting perfectly square when you look at it from the side.

Is this important? Should I try to find a way to adjust the pedal more so that it's hitting perfectly centered and squared?

I assume by 'square' you are referring to the beater hitting the KD-7 on the same angle? ie. Hitting the pad flat.
If this is what you are concerned about there is no need to worry. A flat hit may improve the feel slightly but won't help trigger the unit any better.

'I only ever quote myself - except when I quote someone else' - me

, plenty of , and , , triggered acoustics, , and a plethora of PA blah blah freakin blah...I mean does anyone care about the specifics of pedals, speakers, processors, hardware or anything that I'm using?? Hmmm, maybe this is an appropriate place to mention that I tried out a new cymbal stand the other day...
