Crossstick goes off when I hit snare! HELP!

If I hit the snare medium to hard, the crosstick goes off as well as the snare. Is this a drumhead tension problem or a sensitivity setting or ??? Love the expansion card. It's a must-have!

Try lowering the cross stick threshold. You might also need to lower your rim sensitivity. If you turn off the cross stick do you get an unwanted rim shot?

I only get the crossstick, never the rim shot by accident.
