Try lowering the crosstalk rejection on both pads and see what happens.

I can play a single stroke roll on the snare drum at a very low volume for 60 seconds and it won't mis-trigger once. It's perfect. But when I'm playing a rock beat, and the hi-hat and snare hit at the exact same time, I often get no sound from the snare. Very weird. Is anyone else experiencing this?
