  • What would you do?

Last month I told you guys that I was getting the V-Pro kit at 4% over cost. Well I got it yesterday. Some of you wanted to know what it would end up costing. Here it is. V-Pro kit with the monitor system, DW7000 pedal, Throne, Actual kick v-drum, Td-10 out the door 4800.00. That's supposed to be 4% over cost.
    My question is.
What would be the first three things that you buy for it as far as accessories? And why?

Electric sticks - because they're electric drums.

CD player - To play along w/music.

Surge Protector/UPS - to save the brain.

another idea (to keep your V's looking good:

        Armor-all.

I use it on the cymbal pads and they look like new all the time.

yeah, and also some chrome polish. the rims, cymbal booms, pedals, throne and snare stand tend to get tarnished with a little handling.
and CASES. especially for the td-10....

What's the deal with electric sticks?
            Why are the better?
            Thanks in advance.

Memory card allows you to save kits and other settings (?) It's a back up, really.

              Electric sticks... no comment.

                Hi Clamking,
first you do not HAVE to buy electric sticks.
They might give you better dynamics with less effort, but still ,lighter is faster.
I use Promark Jazz, and I love them, back from my acoustic days,so use whatever you feel comfortable with.
I use a small carpet where I drew the exact position of the rack...might be useful.
                oh ,and anything against dust.

Good point postnuklear. However I must inform one and all that the new wireless are out, and are therfore much lighter now.

If you get the electric sticks, you may as well pick up a couple sky hooks. I can't see owning the sticks without the hooks.
Kit Pic 1 Kit Pic 2 Kit Pic 3... And FOR SALE I have: 3 PD-9's, MDS-10 purple rack w/cables/pad and cym mounts. See classified posts for details or PM me.

Twirling is a no no for wireless sticks. I shorted one out once in the middle of an important fill after a fantastic twirl

Are you kidding, I'm a musician. I never could get them back from the police, they gave me some nonsense about evidence.

You really need to work on your technique. With practice the wireless stick twirling becomes natural. My problem was attempting to twirl the wired version. I almost choked to death one night. It wasn't a pretty sight. That's why I use the sky hooks. They keep the cords out of the way.
