Is there a way to use my midiKiti on the front side of my TD10 while also using both with a sequencer?(to use more triggers)
This scenario works for performance but to get the MidiKitis midi signals to output from the TD10 I have to turn on soft thru. This of course causes a midi loop when recording to a sequencer. How can I do this?

    tom,
Sorry, no idea on your question, but have one of my own. I looked everywhere for a midiKiti or some info on it a while back and couldn't run one down. Where did you get yours and how does it work with the TD-10? Very interested. Thanks.

I've owned my kiti for almost 10 years now so I don't know where they're available now.
I use the midi out of the kiti to the midi in on the TD10.This gives me access to the sound banks in the TD10 fron any trigger I have connected to the midiKiti, good for playing but as you see from my oroginal post it's probematic when trying to use in combination with a sequencer(in this case DP & Logic)

Back off, that's mine... I'm sure you don't want to pay what I bid on that thing.

Sorry if I sounded rude. Please keep in mind that I am one of the few regulars here that doesn't have v-drums. That Midikiti is going to be my brain for a while. Please don't make me pay an arm and a leg for it.

Man am I a softie. I would have bid more than the $127.50 you won it with a few minutes ago. I'm just toooooo nice. Enjoy. In return, I'm sure you'll give me first crack at it if you decide to get rid of it, for say...$127.49.

BTW, I was thinking about bidding at the end when you were no longer in it...waiting...waiting...but when you finally bid again towards the end, I knew you still wanted it, even at that price, so I didn't bid against you.

Why don't you guys take this to a chat room, seeing as your replies have nothing to do with my original post

I'm sorry, Tom. Wouldn't it work if you plugged the midi out of the kiti into the in of the td-10. Then output the td-10 to your sequencer. I don't understand what you mean by frontside.

PS... how big is the manual? Could you make me a copy? Kat wants $20 and I have no money left thanks to Killdrums

The problem is that the kiti will not send midi signals to the midi out of the TD10 unless soft thru is activated. This in turn loops through the sequencer and then back to itself - causing a midi loop. This means that you can't use a second midi converter such as the midi kiti unless you have multi midi record capabilities on the sequencer- which is a completely different connection scenario than just using the kiti as a performance module.

couldn't you use a midi merger? Does the td-10 have a midi thru? If so you could merge the out and thru to send to your sequencer since the thru is a copy on the midi in. Or, you could merge the 2 midi outs since note numbers is all it's producing anyway. Here's some info on a midiman merger 2/2

No, as I said, I NEVER bid, as you asked. If you hadn't have bid against the high bidder right at the end, I would have. But I didn't. Forget it. You're welcome.

If this is intended for me too, I have been on e-bay and for years. Ditto with paypal. Thanks. And for tomswift, you're right. I'm out of here. Thanks for answering my question to you, and if I find about yours, I'll let you know.
