  • Difficulty triggering cymbal samples [i.e. cymbal rolls] on midi playback :(

As discussed in post http://www.vdrums.com/discussion/Forum1/HTML/001070.html, triggering a TD10 hi-hat or a wave file will be extremely difficult to do, and I just realized I'll probably run into similar issues with cymbal rolls via midi as well.

Picture a crash cymbal roll that starts softly then gradually builds up. How can this be achieved using wave files or the TD10?

I would assume the end result would be a full-fledged crash played at 500 bpm for 10 seconds. This is not going to sound right at all.

The drums themselves shouldn't be much of a problem. Cymbals are very stubborn. If I was only a guitarist, all of this would be sooo easy hehe

    Jason
