  • mic type for spds

Hi, couldnt find this in the manual. Can I use an SM58 mic for the SPDS or does it require a high-impedance mic??

    thanks

The specs say: 10Kohms for Mic/Line input, but the level when the input is switched to Mic is quite high (-50 dbU) as opposed to Line (-10dbU). I've used a similar mic with no adverse effects. Try it out and adjust the rear panel input level while watching the signal meter on the sampling standby screen.

They do make impedance matchers for XLR microphones. That's what I use when I need to.
