  • mix 2 instrument sounds?

I have a TD12, and I have 2 snare drums (each on a different kit) that I really like. I want to make a new kit with properties of both. Is it possible to select 2 instruments to mix and get 50% of each sound? For example, I really like the "pop" that one of my snare drums has, and I like the low end body that the other has...and I'd like to mix them together.
    TD-12, KD-120, CY15, CY14.

You can't mix two sounds easily, but there are a couple of ways to get two sounds from a pad with adjustable volume levels for each sound. One way is to record a one note user pattern and assign that as a pad pattern for the second sound. See TDW-20: Pattern 150 LayerKickRim which talks about a pattern provided on a TDW-20, but which could be created on a TD-12. Another way would be to split the cable from your snare drum to both the snare input and an aux input if you have one available.
