  • JBL Eon10 G2, will 10" woofer handle E drums?

Hi, just bought a used JBL eon10, virtually unused for $100. I know the 15" are recomended but I can't afford the bigger one at the moment, this opportunity came up and I figured at worst it has to be better than a Roland PM10 or other personal monitor. Could use a bit more bottom end but generally sounds very crisp and sharp, certainly for practice. Don't know much about speakers? How would you connect a sub to improve bottom end or could I utilize my 50w bass amp somehow?

Is this speaker capable of handling the electronic drums with a 10" woofer? Will the output of the drums damage it?

It should work, but you may not get the thump you need out of it. I have played small gigs with a 12" and it sounded good. But it was jazz (Duke Ellington) and didn't need the bottom that rock needs.

That setup would sound great with the addition of a 15" sub.
