  • TD-9 Hi-Hat with Foot doesn't register in scope

    Hi all -
I just got a TD-9SX for Christmas and I noticed that, when using the hi-hat pedal it doesn't register in the scope function (where it tells you if you are in time with the metronome), if I strike the hi-hat with my stick then it does register, is that normal?

Yes, I think that is the way it works...a bit strange, i admit...esp when I use the hihat pedal as a double bass pedal, I would have liked it to register....

      Hey dmd

Yes that is normal. Check 'Using the Scope function' in the TD-9 owner's manual (p.43). In section 2 there's a one-line note that says "* Foot-close is not shown".

      Enjoy!
