  • hi-hat pedal volume [TD-3]

I have the TD-3SW kit, which has the TD-3 module. My main complaint is that there seems to be no way to turn up the level of the pedal hi-hat sound without turning up the whole hi-hat volume (i.e. hi-hat pedal level not adjustable independently of hi-hat trigger level). The pedal hi-hat is too quiet for my liking, but if I turn it up, the main hi-hat becomes way too loud.

    Questions:

    1) Is there a way to do this that I have not discovered?

    2) Do the higher-end V-Drum modules allow this to be done?

    Thanks!

Yes: "Adjusting the Hi-Hat’s Foot Closed Level" on Page 42 of the TD-3 manual.

      Adjusting the Hi-Hat's Closed Level

Incase, for some reason, you cannot find the manual it reads:

      Adjusting the Hi-Hat's Closed Level
      1. Be sure the POWER is OFF, then hold [LEVEL/PAN] and turn on the power.
"Pedal Modify" appears in the scroll display, then the Foot Closed level is indicated, and [LEVEL/PAN] flashes.
      2. Press [+] or [-] to adjust the Foot Closed Level
      Value: 0-15
      (initial value: 10)
      3. When you're finished, press [DRUM KIT]; the [LEVEL/PAN] light goes off.

NOTE: Do not turn off the power without the [LEVEL/PAN] light having gone out. Otherwise you will lose the changes you have just made.
