  • Why do the build-in patterns & songs sound so loud?

    Hello,
Very strange, when all 8 faders are at maximum, and I would like to play grooves over a song (drum/perc muted), I almost can't hear myself, no matter how hard I hit the pads.
I would be normal for me to hear the 'backing' as loud as the 'kit'.

    What's wrong with the TD-8 i'm using?

Nothing wrong here...The sequencer parts are louder than the trigger responses, just back them off with the faders on the bottom row of fader controls..but also there are afew things that could add up to you experiencing this. First check your mixer out level for the kit you are playing; be sure it is up to max.

Thanks for the tips, but my major concern is: Why did they do that? Why did Roland set the 'factory settings' to blow the patterns and songs sky-high and leave the kit feeling sorry for itself?
