Won't work, if my recollection is correct. The Roland guitar synths only send MIDI information, they only recieve information via the 13-pin hex pickup input. You can play guitar with the TD-8 sound, though.
Don't quote me on this, I believe this is so for the V-Guitar system, but it may also apply for the GR series. Try asking the guys on www.vg-8.com.

hello, this is my first post here, but i've been enjoying the incredible load of information on this site for a while.
i'm no MIDI mastermind, but i was wondering if there was a way to hook up my Roland GR-30 guitar synth to the TD-8, so i could drum with the GR-30 sounds... must be possible.. someone?Tags: None
