  • Triggering problems on HART Snare using TD20

    Hi Everyone,

I have a HART Pro 6.4 kit powered by a TD20 module. When using the X stick on the 13" Snare, I find the rim shot trigger coming in frequently, instead of the X stick, which I can't seem to cure. The only way I can resolve it is to find a sweet spot on the rim. It's very hit and miss. I'm sure that has to do with the settings in the TD20, but I'm not proficient enough to know how to stop this mis-triggering when X sticking.
Please can someone help me find a solution.

    Many thanks

Go into triggers then advanced triggers and RIM and there should be a threshhold setting for the cross stick (there is on the TD12) should be similar set up on the 20.

for my diy snare my settings are ...

    Rim gain 1.9
    Rimshot adjust 2.9
    Cross stick threshhold 75

If ya mess with them 3 you will get a result mate

PS raise the Cross Stick thresh-hold to get an easier X Stick with a softer force.

Raising Cross Stick Threshold really makes it easier to still get X Stick with a harder force, and therefore prevent unintentional rim shot sounds.

(Raising Rim Shot Adjust could make it easier to get a cross stick sound with a softer force.)

Triggering problem on Hart Snare using TD20

        Hi Dave and Bruce,

I'm so grateful to you both for your help with my problem.
I'm pleased to say that my X sticking sounds great now, with no mis-triggering on the rimshot. The band will be delighted!

        Thank you
