The global configurations for pads allows you to assign PATCH - to a pad.
Hit the SETUP button and got to PAD. Page through the parameters till you get to Ctrl SW and make sure it is off.

-Edit - Bruce is always one step ahead!-

    Welcome!

Use SETUP, CONTROL SW, hit pad 8, then change Ctrl SW from "PATCH -" to OFF (by pressing "-" twice).

SPD-S changes always Patch with Pad !!!

    Hi
I have a very anoying problem with my Roland SPD-S
Alway when I hit the Pad #8 (the middle lowest Pad) the Patch # will be decreases by 1
You shortly hear a sound of the previous Patch (im starting with) and then with every hit on just that pad - the patch decreases by 1 step.

I searched the forum - the manual - the internal settings of this pad - initialised the pad, the patch, etc.

Any suggestions would be very helpfull

    Thanks a lot in advance
